Rhinoplasty, which is more commonly known as a "nose job," is performed to correct the size and shape of an individual's nose in order to improve and enhance their appearance.
If your nose is too large, and is disproportionate to your other features, or if it appears crooked, misshapen or out of alignment, a rhinoplasty can redefine its appearance and create facial harmony for a more pleasing look. An unattractive bump on the bridge of the nose can also be addressed with this procedure. By modifying and sculpting the bone and cartilage of your nose, our cosmetic surgeon can achieve the cosmetic changes you desire and provide you with a result that appears naturally beautiful.
To be a candidate for a rhinoplasty, you must be in good health and the appropriate age. At your consultation visit, we’ll discuss your cosmetic goals and expectations of care. Based on this information and a comprehensive assessment of your case, our plastic surgeon will recommend the type of procedure and surgical approach that best suits your needs.
Following your rhinoplasty you’ll be given specific post-operative instructions to ensure a smooth recovery and optimal healing. While bruising in the area typically subsides in about ten to fourteen days, the full results of your rhinoplasty procedure emerge more gradually. As your healing progresses, improved nasal contours take shape with the skin and soft tissues remodeling to accommodate the newly modified nasal structures. While a normal daily routine can typically be resumed after about a week or so, strenuous activities should be avoided for at least a couple of weeks following the procedure.
